It all started when Laura Berrey got her first Easy Bake Oven for her 8th birthday. From that moment on, all she ever wanted to do was bake desserts for people.
After studying Hospitality & Tourism in high-school, Laura enrolled in the Patisserie & Baking program in 2009 at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale Arizona where she earned her associates degree.
In the beginning of 2010 Laura started work at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego CA. During this time, The Grand would receive its coveted Triple 5 star rating from Forbes -one of only 12 hotels in the world with this honor, and was rated the #1 Luxury Hotel in the US by Trip Advisor. During her almost decade tenure there, Laura would work her way up from the Morning Baker to the Wedding Cake Decorator & the Pastry Sous Chef.
After years of various camping trips to Northern California, Laura and her husband Sam decided to tie the knot in a small ceremony in the forests of Humboldt County in 2018. On their honeymoon they decided to throw caution to the wind and purchase a house and make their dream of one day living here a reality.
Now Laura is proudly serving Humboldt County with high end, gourmet wedding cakes and pastries for all occasions.
